Registration fees for ESLRR 19

THE REGISTRATION LINK WILL OPEN ON THE WEBSITE SHORTLY

If you wish to take advantage of the special registration fee for ESLRR members, you should submit your membership application to ESLRR, prior to registering for the conference.

ESLRR members: Early bird (before 1st June) £225 Standard £275

Non-members: Early bird (before 1st June) £275 Standard £325

Students (undergraduate, or post-graduate before award of doctorate: to be supported by letter from tutor/supervisor): Early bird (before 1st June) £225 Standard £275

Daily Rate: Members £140; Non-members £170

Optional half-day workshop £60 (30 places available)

Conference dinner £70

Registration fees include: Welcome Reception, Lunches, Refreshments, Conference Book of Abstracts.

Accommodation to be arranged by delegates themselves, but a guide to the available accommodation near the conference venue will be made available on the conference website.

ESLRR Developing Country Conference Award for Low Vision Researchers

Eligibility and application process

Interested candidates who meet all eligibility requirements are invited to apply for the 2019 ESLRR Conference Award during the application period until April 1st 2019. Successful applicants will be notified by 1st May 2019.

Position

Must be a citizen of a developing country as defined by the most recent World Bank income classifications; low, lower-middle and upper-middle income economies qualify. Must have, or be studying for, a PhD, OD, MD, Orthoptics degree, Occupational Therapist degree or other professional qualification relevant to the field of low vision rehabilitation. Must have a desire to pursue a career in teaching and research in low vision, whether clinical or basic, in their home countries.Must be currently studying or practicing in a field related to low vision.

The candidate is required to submit an abstract for the ESLRR 2019 conference, and the Travel Award will be dependent on acceptance of the abstract.

Language Skills The candidate should have a sufficient command of English in order to participate in the scientific programme at the ESLRR meeting.

Application requirements Candidates must submit an application including their full contact information and qualifications, a personal statement, research interests, one letter of support from a Low Vision professional or researcher, and a CV, no later than April 1st 2019. This should be sent to chris.dickinson@manchester.ac.uk. Any awards will be made by a decision of the Scientific Committee.

Requirements of Recipients Recipients are expected to participate in the conference, and to present the work described in their accepted abstract.

Recipients are required to submit a brief report of their experience at the conference to ESLRR for use on the website.

Recipients are responsible for securing the necessary documents to travel internationally, including obtaining a travel visa, well in advance of the conference.

Value of the award

Awards will cover the cost of registration at the conference, plus £200 contribution towards travel and/or accommodation expenses. The Scientific Committee reserves the right not to make any awards if there are insufficient high quality applications.
