International Interdisciplinary Symposium “Neuro-Ophthalmology meets Vision Rehabilitation”, May 8th – 9th, 2026 | Tübingen, Germany

Updated: Oct 15, 2025

The symposium aims to build a bridge between neuro-ophthalmology and vision rehabilitation to stimulate exchanges of ideas between the fields. We intend to illuminate the significance of lesions along the visual pathways and higher cortical areas from different perspectives. In addition, we would like to discuss innovative ways of measuring visual functions, as well as therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions.

The symposium will gather experienced speakers from various disciplines and will provide the opportunity for young researchers to present short reports.

We will be happy to welcome you in Tübingen to this special event!

Prof. Dr. Karl-Ulrich Bartz-Schmidt, Director of the Center for Ophthalmology

Prof. Dr. Susanne Trauzettel-Klosinski, Head of Vision Rehabilitation Research Unit
